Leadership and strategy in the digital economy
PRESS RELEASE (10/2/2013) – Have you ever really stopped to think about what it is you do best and how that relates to your competitors, and the market place? Have you asked the question, does this line up to what your customers want? Many companies fail to ask the right question and therefore can not find a suitable answer. When faced with local and international view points, issues and problems can easily become a maze and the old adage of ‘not being able to see the wood for the trees’ or ‘we’re over here but our customers are over there’ resonates with too many companies. Henley Business School invite you to come and have an important and meaningful conversation and take part in a management level event focused across the Music & Creative Industries. Ted Cohen who will chair the event has forged a three-decade-plus career on transforming the old-school music and entertainment industry by integrating his widespread authority on all things digital, from mobile and IPTV to high-tech product launches and consumer media service development. Cohen states; “Traditional industry Gatekeepers have been supplanted by the New Centurions: streaming & download services from players like Apple, Amazon, Spotify, delivered to you via your iPhone, Samsung Galaxy or Sonos. There is no cookie-cutter path to success, the distribution economy has become the attention economy. Everyone now has access to the audience, they just need to figure out the best way to let them know they exist! “
The event will unfold through international guest speakers sharing key strategic case studies and through workshops and discussions will provide new insights into this important business area. Senior faculty in Strategy and Innovation from Henley Business School will guide creative and entrepreneurial discussions alongside academic insights and contextual realities.
Speakers include: Chair: Ted Cohen – Managing Partner Tag Strategic – USA. The keynote address will be given by Gregor Pryor from Reed Smith law firm (UK) and guests include: John Bartleson – Director Global Marketing Telefónica Digital, Clive Gardiner – RNIB / Headstretch Ltd / WE7, Belinda Boakye from AEG Live and faculty Professor George Tovstiga – Strategy & Innovation Management
