Tim Uppal Canada Minister of Multiculuralism, made bold speeches of obtaining 70% of NRI demands, being resolved by Punjab Government, which has created an uproar in Indo-Canadians in British Columbia, Ontario, Alberta, California, New York, Illinois, Texas and Washington D.C. NRI’s are demanding Tim Uppal, list all the issues resolved by his Ministry or Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal, or resign for making “false speeches”, at the concluded NRI Sammelan in Anandpur Sahib and Jullundur , Punjab.
Numerous emails have been sent to Prime Minister Stephan Harper, asking Tim Uppal to list these demands in the Canadian Parliament, for the Indo-Canadians, who have been victim of false cases, property matters, pending in Punjab, without any resolutions. NDP M.P.Surrey Delta, Jinny Simms, critic for Multiculuralism, has been asked to debate Tim Uppal to the 70% demands “issue” of Indo-Canadians in Canada Parliament.
Tim Uppal, who chaired the “Youth at risk through Sports”, in Edmonton-Sherwood, Alberta, failed to address the menace of drugs in Youth of Punjab, or the kids in Edmonton-Sherwood, “Tim seems to ack like a spokesman of Shiromani Akali Dal, Punjab India, while being elected as a Member of Conservative Party of Canada, which is against the By-Laws adopted by Prime Minister Stephan Harper”, said Laureen Swan of Edmonton. Sukh Grewal, NRI delegate from Edmonton is of the opinion “Tim Uppal wants a wider role in the Conservative Government, showcase his importance at the Photo-Op in India”, but Prime Minister Stephan Harper should order an Investigation into the Canada M.P.’s trip to India.
Bal Gosal Minister Sports, highlighted the importance of sports and steps to enhance the ‘World Kabbadi Cup”, with offers to hold it in Canada in 2014. NDP Member Parliament Jasbir Sandhu of Surrey B.C., was not granted time to speak at the NRI Sammelan, but he stressed the need of “curbing the flow of drugs”, to Canada from Punjab, India.
Punjab Pradesh Congress President Partap Bajwa, called the NRI delegates and Canada Minister’s to join them on January 16th, to address the issue of drugs in Punjab and Indo-Canadians, but both Tim Uppal and Bal Gosal, refused to acknowledge the most important topic of Punjab in modern history, where Home Minister and Punjab Police has named over 500 NRI’s, who are involved in drug trade in India, Canada and USA.
Indian Overseas Congress, Canada, USA, U.K., Germany, Australia, S.Africa, Malaysia, Thailand boycotted the NRI Sammelan said IOC President Vikram Bajwa, who will join with 1500 NRI;s for Punjab Bandh ‘Curb Drugs”, campaign on January 16, in Punjab.
