Bypass Announces 400 Tablet POS Deployment

Industry Continues to Embrace POS transition from the Counter to the Cloud as Bypass Solution Installed at 9 New NFL and University Stadiums

Largest Mobile POS Deployment Ever to Take Place at Massive TomorrowWorld Global Music Festival

AUSTIN, TX (September 26, 2013)– Bypass, a company that provides tablet and mobile payment solutions at many of the nation’s leading sports and entertainment properties, announced new deployments, an expanded product line and the largest mobile deployment of a tablet POS solution.

“Bypass’ extensive experience in sports and entertainment has led us to create a product that is uniquely tailored to the expanding commerce needs of venues,” said Brandon Lloyd.   “The company works to supplement existing POS deployments and is increasingly the go-to solution for all payment terminals.”

Bypass also announced today that for the first time ever, over 400 tablets will manage all commerce at the massive three-day TomorrowWorld Global Music Festival in Georgia. Concessions for the event, which begins on September 26th, are being managed by Levy Restaurants.

New Deployments:

The industry has embraced Bypass’ platform with a number of high-profile NFL and University stadium deployments including:

Green Bay Packers Lambeau Field

Kansas City Chiefs Arrowhead Stadium

Denver Broncos Sports Authority Field

Detroit Lions Ford Field

Kansas City Chiefs Arrowhead Stadium

University of Texas DKR Football Stadium

Wake Forest University BB&T Field

University of Oregon Autzen Field

West Virginia University Milan Puskar Stadium

“Providing Texas fans with the ability to use credit cards without an expensive infrastructure investment to the stadium has been a great success,” said Jim Jenkins, Senior Vice President of Sodexo.  Credit cards are now accepted in every concession stand at DKR Memorial Stadium using the Bypass technology.

Bypass deployments take place across a spectrum of concessionaires including Levy Restaurants, Ovations, Centerplate, Sodexo, Delaware North, and self-operated locations. Industry-specific features including the ability to accept loaded tickets, integrations with sports CRM providers, and nuanced inventory controls have set Bypass apart as preferred provider in this market segment.

Bypass Chief Technology Officer Jonathan Spies, commented, “Our vision has always been to unchain the point-of-sale from the counter and move it to the cloud. To watch that happen in this industry is rewarding.”

Bypass simplifies commerce for high-volume merchants in sports, leisure and entertainment. Our solutions are guided by the principle that improving payment and point-of-sale is best achieved through software. We pair the latest tablet technology with software tailored to the challenges of complex operations.

Bypass implements fixed and mobile point-of-sale solutions for food and beverage, retailers, suites, club seats, portables, dessert carts, and hawkers. Founded in 2010, the company is upgrading payment solutions for the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, NCAA, MILB and regional music venues.
