Ask The Experts — Old School Customer Service to Provide Tips on Granite Cleaning and Other Stone Care

San Diego (Sept. 9, 2013) — The expertise is not just in the bottle – it also comes in the form of tips and advice to help homeowners avoid costly repair and replacement of their granite countertops and other natural stone surfaces.

“We created Granite Gold® brand stone-care products a decade ago as a solution to the often-repeated question, ‘What should I use to clean my stone?’,” said Lenny Sciarrino, the Granite Gold Inc. co-founder and president/CEO who grew up in the Southern California family business manufacturing and installing natural stone surfaces. “As Granite Gold grew and customers became more aware of the expertise behind the products, answering their questions and readily sharing stone care tips and advice became a central part of Granite Gold. It’s an old-school approach to customer service. We’re experts in stone care, and we personally walk customers through the steps to care for their stone.”

Today the old-school approach is getting a modern touch as Granite Gold’s customer service program – an in-house staff, not a contracted call center – is going proactive with the launch of Ask The Experts.

In addition to calling 800-475-STONE or sending an email to StoneCareExperts@GraniteGold, customers can submit their questions on Granite Gold’s Facebook and Twitter pages.  Ask The Experts is also a prominent feature on Granite Gold’s revised website, and the Ask The Experts icon will be a visible feature promoting the program on packaging and promotional material.

Common daily questions range from which granite cleaner works best; how to clean granite; how to clean tile; how to clean stone floors; removing water spots, stains and soap scum; and the complex like what to do about etching and cleaning soot from fireplace mantles. These questions will often become content for Granite Gold’s blog, The Gold Standard, which is distributed to subscribers twice monthly and is also posted on social media platforms. Recent topics include grout cleaning, shower cleaning, and how to seal granite and other natural stone.

“Sharing our advice and knowledge about stone has been subtle the last decade.  It grew on its own through word of mouth, and now we’re advocating it and encouraging customers to come to us with their questions and challenges they have about their stone surfaces,” said Sciarrino.
